When Nitrate Shows Up, Be Ready
With the Right Resin
Nitrate doesn't just sit still. Because it dissolves easily and moves with infiltrating water, it can travel from fertilizer, manure, or septic influence into vulnerable groundwater supplies—especially in shallow wells. That is one reason nitrate remains a serious concern for private well owners and rural applications. EPA’s drinking-water standard for nitrate is 10 mg/L measured as nitrogen.
