SWT Cartridge Tank Cartridge Selection Guide

CTS-125 Cartridges

YELLOW SERIES

These cartridges are combination filters with a polypropylene string outer layer and a melt-blown polypropylene core capable of capturing a broad range of particulates. These cartridges provide 2 times the surface area and 3 times the media content of a standard 4.5 x 20 wound cartridge.

Typical Applications: Potable water, food/beverage, RO pre-filtration, fine chemicals, electronics, metal finishing, plating solutions, oxidizing agents, corrosive fluids, gases, concentrated acids and alkali.

ORANGE SERIES

These cartridges are constructed of dual gradient, double pleated, polyester layers for extended life and use while achieving high flow and low pressure drop in all turbidity applications including silt, rust, and other particle filtration. These cartridges provide 6.5 times the total surface area of a standard 4.5 x 20 pleated cartridge and nearly 14.5 times that of a standard 2.5 x 20 cartridge.

Typical Applications: Food service, RO pre-filtration, make-up water, rental fleets, cooling towers, chill water loops, metal finishing, process water (turbidity, particulate, colloidal suspensions).

GREEN SERIES

These dual gradient, double pleated cartridges feature a thermally bonded blend of micro-glass fibers and cellulose, infused with nanoalumina fibers in a non-woven matrix that creates an electropositively charged 0.2 micron depth filter media. Agion® antimicrobial technology resists the growth of microbes. The filters will outperform competitive filtration solutions in all turbidity applications including insoluble scale, Fe3, bacterial iron slime, colloidal solids, silt, rust, and other particle filtration.

Typical Applications: Primary filtration in lieu of microporous membranes, make-up water (particulate, microbial control), polishing filters (carbon fines, emulsified oil removal), RO pre-filtration (SDI reduction), process water (turbidity, particulate, colloidal suspensions), waste water (biologicals, proteins, dyes), cooling towers, chill water loops (iron removal).

BLUE SERIES

These carbon block filters are made using high performance coconut shell carbon coupled with a unique binder system for superior adsorption capacity and kinetic dynamics. The chloramine block cartridges use a proprietary media with an enhanced catalytic functionality that has 5 times more capacity for chloramines reduction than standard carbon blocks.

Typical Applications: Residential, food service, commercial, industrial, polishing or pre-filter in applications requiring fine filtration and high capacity.

WHITE SERIES

These unique, high capacity cartridges are 0.5 cu.ft. empty polypropylene containers to be filled with granular filtration media for multiple filtration options and solutions. They are available in a CDS mid-plate configuration that splits the cartridge chamber equally—0.25 cu.ft. per chamber—for separation and use of different medias. The removable top cap has a locking feature for limiting end-user access. Special "hanging" rings on the bottom of the cartridge allow for easy media change-outs.

Typical Applications: Residential, food service, commercial, industrial, service DI, rental programs, exchange systems, high-purity pre- or post-filtration.

CTS-200 Cartridges

RED SERIES

These pleated polypropylene sediment cartridges utilize 100% cellulose-free media and are cleanable from 5 micron and up. The impregnated (PAC) cartridge dramatically improves the quality of water by reducing chlorine, bad tastes, foul odors, as well as particulate.

Typical Applications: Whole house filtration, commercial filtration, industrial filtration, pre-filtration for reverse osmosis equipment, community water systems, sea water applications due to non-corrosive construction, replacement for bag filters, water for livestock and poultry.
