FilterEase-HD™ (P/N HC10002) is a reliable sediment filter media that is superior to sand. At 55 lbs/cu.ft., FilterEase-HD™ features the superior filtration characteristics of our original FilterEase™, yet has backwash rates similar to that of anthracite. Dealers can use FilterEase-HD™ as a substitute for sand, anthracite, or other filter aggregates. The material is extremely hard and durable. It has a highly porous, ragged surface area that is excellent for use in the removal of all types of sediment and oxidized materials such as iron. The filtration characteristics will typically allow for particle filtration of nominal 25 micron or less.

Due to the superb durability of FilterEase-HD™, it is ideally suited for use in commercial and industrial applications requiring extreme velocities and rigorous backwash.

One of the best features of FilterEase-HD™ is that it will perform its duties while requiring less water in the backwash than traditional sediment filter media or sand. But it still provides enough bed stability to allow for a forceful bed cleaning. Since the media has a controlled range of particle shapes and sizes, it will take the place of most sand filters and multi-layered filter beds. Swimming pools will look bluer and cleaner than ever.
